Anita Fletcher

Anita Davis Johnston Fletcher, 71, was born Feb. 11, 1940. A former longtime resident of Baker and resident of Bunkie, she passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She retired as director of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program with the EBR Parish Council on Aging. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald Fletcher mother, Dot Harper daughters and sonsinlaw, Jill and Dr. Bruce L. Wilkerson, of Baton Rouge, and Jane and Robert Moore, of Zachary son and daughterinlaw, John Johnston and Stephanie Anderson, of Slaughter grandchildren, Lindsey and Jude Wilkerson and sister and brotherinlaw, Judy and Marvin Thevenot. Preceded in death by her husband, James W. Johnston father, V.P. Dub Davis and brother, Rayburn Davis. Visitation at Melancon Funeral Home, 108 N. Lexington Ave., Bunkie, on Sunday, Aug. 28, from 3pm to 6pm. Visitation at First Baptist Church, Lexington Ave., Bunkie, on Monday, Aug. 29, from 9am until religious service at 10am. Visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday from 3pm to 4pm with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens to follow.
