Andrew Wilson Eads, affectionately known as Pops by his family, 85 years old, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 7, 2024. He entered this world on November 22, 1938, born to Abraham and Willie Eads, in Newellton, LA. Andrew honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a long-time member of First Baptist of Baker. He enjoyed taking trips with his loving wife all over the United States.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Rhodalene Bowlin Eads; stepdaughters, Peggy Velvin, Mary Lynn Latham (Ray), Carol Wicelinski (Steve), Kay Schweinefus (Paul); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Andrew is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Eads; father, Abraham John Eads; mother, Willie Gilliland Eads; brother, Ed Eads; sister, Lenora Gurley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Schweinefus, Rickey Buhler, Jason Roberts, Jonathon Roberts, David Schweinefus, John David Nix, and Calvin Clouatre.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Jay Avance and Reverend Gary Bowlin. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Azalea Rest Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
