Alton Louis Carruth, 64 years old, beloved father, brother and friend, was called to his eternal resting place on February 12, 2018. He entered this world on May 17, 1953 in, Clinton, LA., born to Marshall Lanis Carruth and Louise Carruth Saynes. He was known for his accomplishments as a restoration artist. Alton's love was motorcycles, antiques and vintage artwork.
Alton is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Marshall "Lanis" and Shani Kaye Carruth; daughter, Jenny Marie Carruth; mother, Louise Carruth Saynes; grandchildren, Caleb Lanis Carruth and Josie Paige Hughes; sisters, Marlene Taylor and Marsha L. Fontana and husband Steve; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alton is preceded in death by his father, Marshall Lanis Carruth; and step-father, Paul Saynes, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA., on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Deacon Chris Wales. The graveside service and burial will follow the service at 2:00 p.m., in the Days United Methodist Church Cemetery, Easleyville, La.
