Alphis "Al" Alexander Bolton, Jr., 72, a lifelong resident of Baker, LA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2016. He was born to Al and Falba Bolton on September 1, 1944. Al served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from the war he married the love of his life, Betty Davis. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Davis Bolton; son, Shane Everett Bolton and wife, Chrystal; daughter, Shay Bolton White and husband, Stephen; five grandchildren, Nathan Tyler Bolton, Kierstyn Hailey Bolton, Megan Leigh White, Madison Taylor White, and Morgan Rose White; two sisters, Francis Ira Dell Resweber and Falba W. Watson.
Al is preceded in death by his father, Alphis A. Bolton, Sr. and his mother, Falba Wilmot.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Nathan Bolton, Steve White, John White, Lee Bozeman, Paul "Babe" Bordelon, Chet Wager; honorary pallbearers, Ed Richards and Jesse Ducote.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visiting will continue at Baker Funeral Home, on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Jay Avance will officiate the service. The graveside service and burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge.
