Alma M. Story, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana and a native of Baker, Louisiana born 2.10.1966 finished her course and entered heavens pearly gates on Monday, 8.19.2024 @ 3:58pm CT. I Speak Jesus was playing, and she drew her last breath upon its completion. As Glorious Day began to play our Sweet Sissy was welcomed home into the loving arms of Jesus, her Savior and Lord.
She is survived by her loving Mother, Joanne Story; Sister Patricia (Bishop Kevin) Hancock; Brother John (Renee) Story; Aunts Linda W. Abner; Retta Headrick; D'Juana Lanning; Uncles Richard Abner; Donny Abner; Cousins Sue (Ron) Chenevert; Louise (Monte) Ragland; Norman "Brad" (Melissa) Crochet; Donna (James) Baker; Jonah Baker; Nephews and Nieces Roy "Dale" Holden, Jr.; Daniel (Amanda) Story; Taylor (Michael) Robertson; Shane Story; Jeremy Abbott; Ashleigh Story, Celeste Holden; Riley Robertson; Charlie Robertson and many, many more family members and friends whom she cherished and bragged on and who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her precious Father, John T. Story; Grandparents, John B. and Alma M. Story; Leonard and Effie Abner; Albert "Tony" and Goldie Arsenault; Aunts and Uncles, Norman and Mayme E. Crochet; Robert W. Story; Hershal Abner; Harlan G. Abner; Ernie Abner; and her loving niece Amanda R. Holden.
Alma's relationship with the Lord bore fruit by her consistent reading and living by God's Holy Word, being honored and reflected within her daily life by God's Spirit bearing fruit through Alma's loving, Christian example shared with all that knew her. Her quite resolve to live for Jesus was well known by all that know and love her. Alma's church family at Redeemed Fellowship in Watson, LA will miss her presence and each of us rejoice with our knowledge of her race being won and her having heard from Jesus "Well done my good and faithful servant".
We love you Alma and we have comfort in knowing we will be with you again for all eternity as we all eventually finish our race. Have a good day with Jesus, we know you are.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roy "Dale" Holden, Jr., Daniel "Tommy" Story, Jeremy Abbott, Norman "Brad" Crochet, Rev. George Buchler, and Mike Gordon.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road Baker, LA., on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the funeral Service at 11:00 AM, conducted by Bishop Kevin Hancock and Rev. George Harris.
