Alice Paine

A resident of Zachary for the past three years, she passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Lane Nursing Home, after being diagnosed with Myeloma Bone Marrow Cancer. She was 72, born January 15, 1941 in Vivian, Louisiana. She was employed by Braniff Airlines for 19 years, and retired from Federal Express after 12 years of service. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 1pm until memorial services in the chapel at 3pm. Survived by her mother, Sophie Jones Paine many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and aunts and three beloved cats she cherished as her children. She was preceded in death by her father, William Paine and a sister, Betty Paine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lane Nursing Home Activity Fund. Special thanks to the staffs of Lane Nursing Home and the Carpenter House.
