Alfred Norred, Jr.

A resident of Baker and retired owner of Als Rental Properties, he passed away in Zachary on Monday, April 11, 2011. He was 43 and a native of White Castle. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 69pm, and on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Tom Duhe. Interment to follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales. Survived by his mother, Jo Marie Guercio Norred of Baker a daughter, Jessica Marie Norred of Central three sons, Mark Anthony Norred of Central, Matthew Aaron Norred of Shreveport, and Alfred Lee Norred III of Baker and two sisters, Juanita Lockhart Anderson and husband, Michael Anderson of Jackson, and Catina Lockhart and husband Lance Lockhart of Walker. Preceded in death by his father, Alfred Lee Norred Sr maternal grandparents, Mary Sciotino Guercio and Sam Guercio of White Castle and paternal grandparents, Lola Mae Hills Norred and Russell Isaac Norred. Pallbearers will be Michael Anderson, Charles Raymond Michelli, Maynard Carney, Matthew Norred, Ryan Lockhart, and Timothy Bedell. Alfred was a kind and gentle person, and his passion was helping others. He was a practical jokester, and loved fishing and traveling. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Chief Mike Knaps and Darryl Rainwater and the staff of the Baker Police Department, and to Lt.
