Alda Beauchamp Tassin

A native and resident of Clinton, Alda passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Grace Health and Rehab in Slaughter, LA. She was 91, obtained her B.S. from LSU, and retired from Farmers' Home Administration.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, January 30, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jay Avance. Interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.

Alda is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Tamer Tassin, and Rodney and Renee Tassin; four grandchildren, Brian Tassin, Jeffery Tassin and wife Stacia, Seth Tassin, and Stephanie Tassin; five great grandchildren, sister, Ruth Core; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen E. Tassin; a sister, Hilda McCollister; and her parents, Mattie Young and Stephen O. Beauchamp.

Alda was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker, and a former member of the Pilot Club of Baker.
