A resident of Baker and a native of Chauvin, she passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 11:50pm at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary at the age of 92. Graveside services at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6305 Groom Road, Baker, at 1:30pm on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Survived by two daughters and sonsinlaw, Connie and Elzie Beard Sr. of Baker, and Kitty and Marshall Pruyn of Central a sister, Janet Roshto of Denham Springs a brother and sisterinlaw, Robert and Imelda Acosta of Houma six grandchildren and their spouses, Elzie Jr. and Lezlie Beard, Connie and David Belgard, Jennifer and David Winward, Scott and Dawn Pruyn, Chris and Wendy Pruyn, and Kurt and Amy Pruyn 23 great grandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Turner her mother, Julianne Cunningham Acosta and her father and stepmother, Robert Acosta and Maria LeBlanc Acosta.
