God felt like he needed an organizer so on January 24, 2022, he called Albert "Bo" Farris home. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle.
Bo was born on February 21, 1929, to John and Carrie Farris in Hutton, LA. Bo honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Bo was a lifelong Baptist and a 50 plus year member of The First Baptist Church of Baker and a deacon. Bo was a past master and 50 plus year member of the Baker Masonic Lodge and a member of the Zachary Masonic Lodge. He was also a past president and coach of the Baker Little League. Bo retired from ExxonMobil after 37 years of service.
Bo is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Garnet Herford Farris; sons, Ronald Farris and Donald Farris; daughter, Carrie "Jeanie" LeDoux; 7 grandchildren, AshLeigh, Randee, Jessica, Jamie, Trevor, Dwayne, and Ryann; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special pet, Tom Cat.
Bo was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother and 4 sisters.
Pallbearers will be Donald Farris, Dwayne Farris, Jacob Rousseau, Doug Farris, David Farris, and Jeff Freeman.
Alternate pallbearers will be Stuart Babin and Randy Calhoun.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Jay Avance. The graveside service with military honors and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, in Baker, Louisiana.
