Resident of Central Louisiana, Adam passed away at Lane Memorial Hospital. Adam was born in New Roads, Louisiana, raised in Baton Rouge and graduated from Istrouma High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was one of 8 children born to the late Raoul and Rama Phillips and was the beloved husband of his late wife Rita Chaney Phillips. Adam will forever be remembered by his devoted brother, Auburn Phillips loving sisters, Eve Edwards Vice and Dorthy Cockerham beloved children, Dennis Phillips, Mark Phillips, Troy Phillips and Starr Lasyone treasured grandchildren, Jennifer Forster, Mark Phillips Jr., Adam Phillips, Crystal Keith, Kevin Phillips, Kayla Phillips, Amy Lasyone and he had 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a caring inlaw, Cindy Phillips, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Adam is preceded in death by his loving parents, Raoul and Rama Phillips brothers, Roy, Clarence Phillips sisters, Bessie Mathews and Rita May Smith daughter in law, Alline Phillips and soninlaw, Russell Lasyone.
Adam loved, laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends and traveling. Adam touched the lives of many people with his smile and sense of humor all the way to the end.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to join the family for the visitation from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 5:008:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Visiting will recommence again on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Baker, LA.
