Sunday Johnston

Sunday Swain Johnston, 76 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 10, 2023. She entered this world on April 7, 1946, born to Genevieve Hathcox Swain and David Swain, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church. She was very strong in her faith, loved going to church and loved her church family. She was very independent and had a strong determination to do things on her own. Any free time she had, you could find her with a book in her hand or at the library.

Sunday is survived by her son, Terry Johnston; daughter, Jami Johnston and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Joy, Ben, and Lily; numerous great grandchildren; and sister, Linda Swain.

Sunday is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Mason Johnston; and brother, Ricky Swain.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The Graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
