Laura Guidry

Laura Carmen Alto Guidry, 87 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 31, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on January 28, 1934, born to Pauline Delia Damron and Sosten Leonardo Alto, in Escondido, CA.

Laura is survived by sons, Ronald Mast, Larry Guidry and wife, Cecilia, and Russell Guidry; daughter, Tammy Guidry; grandchildren, Bret Guidry, Nikea Guidry, Daniel Guidry, Paul Guidry, Jason Ransom, Angelica Thomas, Laura Marroy; great-grandchildren, Audrey Glatzer, Xavier Glatzer, Caleb Guidry, Olive Guidry, Solomon Guidry, Cole Guidry, and Morgan Guidry; sister, Maxine Arviso; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Laura is preceded in death by her husband, James Guidry, Sr.; father, Sosten Alto; mother, Pauline Alto; son, James Arlen Guidry, Jr.; brother, Leonard Alto; and sister, Mary Arviso.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. The visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Baker Funeral Home from 8:30AM until the Funeral Service at 9:30AM, officiated by Reverend Matt Hays. The graveside service and burial will follow at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana.
